Chamber member Formulas for Growth, led by founder Joel Krock, has launched Heroes of the Rainforest, an educational platform introducing kids and families to the people, art, plants, and animals of the Amazon — with audiences in Brazil and the U.S. today, and more planned worldwide.
The centerpiece is a colorful, multilingual website at heroesoftherainforest.com, launched in recent weeks. Kids can explore Amazon geography, flip through wildlife fun facts, take a rainforest quiz, play jungle-themed games, submit their own drawings, and browse an art gallery inspired by Amazonian legends.

The initiative also advances a conservation mission: to fund and plant 1 million native trees in the Amazon through a partnership with Rioterra, a Rondônia-based reforestation organization with more than 20 years of experience restoring forests and supporting local communities.
Krock says the idea was inspired by his own family — particularly his wife and son, who are from Fortaleza, Brazil — and by a desire to transform that personal connection into an initiative that encourages children to engage with the Amazon rainforest while contributing to meaningful conservation efforts on the ground.
