The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce congratulates Amigos da Poli on its 14th anniversary.

Amigos da Poli’s mission is to develop the potential of Poli-USP students, contributing to the excellence of their education. Over the years, the organization has fostered innovation and cutting-edge learning at Poli-USP, supporting more than 350 projects and positively impacting over 10,000 students.

In 2024, Amigos da Poli was recognized with the Social Responsibility Award in Science and Technology at the Person of the Year Awards Gala, organized by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. The award highlights the organization’s dedication to advancing education, innovation, and social impact in Brazil.

A special recognition goes to Lucas Sancassani, 2012 Person of the Year Fellow of the Chamber and board member of Amigos da Poli. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from Poli-USP and MBA holder from Columbia University, Lucas has more than 16 years of experience in the financial industry, having worked at Itaú BBA, Goldman Sachs, and Stone Co. He currently serves as Executive Superintendent at Núclea.
