Private banking, wealth management, and financial planning in general have evolved in the last year and will continue to do so. Clients’ expectations toward their banks, investment, and tax advisors have become more sophisticated. The industry will have to answer important questions: 1) how to make sure there is added value not only in investment ideas, but how to better serve clients and future generations considering succession, taxes, and more complex family setups / structures; 2) how can the industry engage younger generations in the conversation considering the digital revolution and fintech?; 3) will digital platforms overtake personal interactions?; 4) do young generations value personal service and communication or the convenience of digital platforms?; 5) what is the role of alternative investments and ESG in the portfolio construction?; and 6) why does Brazil have a growing industry of independent multifamily offices?
