A key pillar of the Brazilian government’s agenda to liberalize the economy is the privatization of assets owned by the government, either directly or through state controlled enterprises.
In this keynote address by Leonardo Cabral, Director for Privatizations of BNDES, he provided an overview of the government’s privatization plans, including the main initiatives taking place at BNDES. Following his presentation, a panel shared its perspectives on the privatization program. The panel was comprised of market participants representing investors, bankers, and legal counsel.
