Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of International Sales, the Director of International Sales, South America, leads the strategy to identify, expand and prioritize volume development opportunities within assigned international market areas to achieve or exceed the budgeted sales plan.

Responsibilities of Position
  • Provide leadership for an international sales team of about 8 to ensure the team’s quarterly and annual sales targets are consistently met.
  • Initiate and develop effective relationships with key customers to maximize growth and market share and partner with customers to identify category and trend opportunities for increasing sales.
  • Identify new markets, distributors and channels to grow the business.
  • Manage sales promotional budget and P&L for assigned international business segment.
  • Initiate, establish and develop key retail and customer relationships to maximize growth and market share.
  • Analyze market pricing, elasticity and competitive landscape to set proper pricing for customers and retailers.
  • Collaborate with internal Legal resources to ensure accurate and timely revisions of rolling contracts and negotiation of new contracts.
  • Attend and support the planning of periodic (quarterly) sales meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • 10 to 15 years of experience leading a sales team in Mexican, Central American and Caribbean markets for consumer products or beverages
  • 7 years in a leadership role
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to expanding sales volume and market share
  • Bi-lingual.
  • Experience handling B2B sales and partnering with licensees to implement marketing plans and gain exposure is a must-have.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree is preferred.
  • 50% travel required.
